ReplyDeleteChris was a dear friend of mine, his family suffers enough from his loss, Not a day goes by that we don't all mourn his loss. I am begging you to please remove this posting and photo as it does not help them heal. You are entitled to your opinions and views, but please make them private so that the family and his friends do not have to see this. Just doing a Google search on Chris got me here. He was a really good man.

ReplyDeleteYour words and sincerity are moving. Respectfully, however, please imagine all the people of color Chris' presence might have caused to be racially terrified. Also, it is apparent that he stood against our rightful claims to reparations. He was a good friend of yours because (most likely) you embrace the same values he embraced. For this community, those values are the values of morally reprobate, self justifying, narcissistic hypocrites. Each of those descriptors I sincerely chose with care. Because, again, I am moved by your words. But I find it amazing that you haven't and don't have that kind of care and passion for the cause of righting your country and forefathers' crimes against us - and, not to your convenient satisfaction, but to ours - your victims.
As much as Chris' family suffers from his loss, the family of the people of color suffer from your kind's historic and ongoing racial terrorism - which you refuse to make restitution for. Chris was a key player in this. For, he dared don a badge and gun and receive salary for the very racially terroristic government that continues to deny those its so treacherously dealt with the reimbursement we are due.
You said: please make them private so that the family and his friends do not have to see this. But the results of your kind's discriminatory voting are not private. The tax dollars you pay to upkeep this country's race based class warfare aren't private.
Sincerely, I really do believe that Chris was a 'good man' to you.
But to us, he was a State commissioned racial terrorist, a reparations offender and a generational race criminal.
That you are incapable of seeing him in this light is no surprise. You think, for example, that people like George Washington and other prominent historic whites who owned slaves and claim ownership as the founding fathers of this so called great nation were heroes and pioneers rather than racial terrorists. Certainly, as this is the case, you see Chris and yourself in the same light.
